My journey with video started VCR-to-VCR, editing youth group stories in my church. It wasn’t about perfection — it was about telling small, meaningful stories.
In college, everyone was picking up guitars. I picked up a camera. Video was the one thing I could do endlessly without noticing time passing.
Life pulled me away from creating for a while, but when I got into real estate years later, that passion came back fast — and bigger than before.
I realized something important: I don’t just love making videos. I love getting people on camera and watching them succeed.
As a former real estate agent, I also learned something most video companies miss: a stand-alone video doesn’t move the needle — a strategy does.
When I listed homes, I built systems around reels, shorts, long-form walkthroughs, and distribution. One of my listings in a highly competitive market earned the highest exposure on Stellar MLS not just because the video looked good, but because it was deployed intentionally.
That experience became the foundation for Your Town Media.
